An education can be a great pathway to achievement and escape from the cycle of generational poverty. For most children in Haiti an education is not free and we believe that every child should be educated.
City of Lights sponsored 40 students in the Beaudouin community to go to school for the 2019-2020 school year. This next year, we want to do that again.
This sponsorship includes the total cost of the annual tuition, a backpack full of school supplies and any other school-related fees.
The average cost for all of this per student is $60 per year. Purchases and donations to City of Lights Coffee Co. go directly to pay for this endeavor.
This cost should encourage us to give more to the education and empowerment of people less financially advantaged than ourselves. Rather than appeal to your pity, we'd like you to share in our excitement and true happiness found in giving to the future of these precious children; as Jesus taught,
"It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35).
