The UMass chapters of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and the Society of Women Engineers are committed, focused, and actively advocating for equity and the fair treatment of the Black community and all racial minorities. We understand as youth, and as human beings, the necessity to fight against racism and all sorts of brutality and unfairness in the judicial system, especially during these times.
We also know that the path to achieving this is through reform and representation, which is why we are starting this student-led GoFundMe to benefit three non-profit organizations that are making progress towards a more just and tolerant America:
Black Lives Matter official organization ($200)
The Innocence Project ($200)
Color of Change ($200)
We would love to rech our goal with YOUR help. We will be 100% transparent with all transactions and show proof of our donations once the funds become available to us. If we reach the goal in record time we will increase it indefinitely in efforts to raise as many funds as possible. Let's all, together, stand for what matters.
