The Lighthouse Project needs your help to get Pit Stop up and running!
Pit Stop is a mechanics based re-engagement offering for young people to connect with mentors & learn life skills. We are hoping to offer the program in Term 3 and are in the process of readying the site which is located at DECA Shepparton. The site is set to go but still needs the final touch - aircon!
We need your help to raise $2,500 to purchase a Fujitsu 8.5kW split system. Luke McCluskey from McCluskey Heating & Cooling is kindly donating his time to install the unit free of charge - thank you to Luke & his team!
Lighthouse Project and the young people who will use the space will be very appreciative of your donation and will be thankful to be warm in winter and cool in summer. You are more than welcome to check the site out to see where your donation is going and just how grateful we are!

‘Pit Stop’ is a Lighthouse Project initiative for young people in Greater Shepparton. It is a strengths based re engagement offering, co-designed with community, matching positive role models and mentors with young people. Young people will work on small engines & cars under the guidance of volunteer industry professionals and positive community role models. Pit Stop aims to increase work and life skills, improve mental health and increase connection for young people within community whilst better connecting them to opportunities through the bridging of social capital. Pit Stop will also work with young people as an early intervention model to re-engage them at school.
