Get Kimmy to Howard

Hi, my name is Kimyatta Newby, a recent high school graduate. I am a Black queer woman and the second after my older sister to go to college in my family. I will be attending Howard University in the fall however things are looking a bit rickety. I wasn't offered much aid and I don't have many resources to get money from and my family has three more children to take care of and assist. I don't want all their savings to go to me and I don't want my family and me to be in SUCH massive debt. I'm applying to scholarships and jobs but things aren't super great (but I will keep trying of course). I plan to major in political science and psychology, two majors that affect my life and my community; politics and mental health; and minor in theatre and African American Studies. I'm a strong advocate for my community, not only attending and organizing protests but speaking to my city councils, organizing resources for my community, supporting and providing tools of education for the youth in my community and constantly and always standing up for Black lives, women lives, mental health awareness for men and LGBTQ lives. I'm a little anxious asking for help but I truly and fully. Please boost even if you can't donate. I appreciate any help thank you!
