I am a young soprano opera singer, singing professionally for the last three years. During this time I have been training with a private vocal tutor Maria Jaguzs and have won the Woking Young Musicians Trust award for vocal performance, the Chris Treglown young artists runner up prize.
last year I was one of the founding members of Sorelle, an all-female operatic trio. Together we have had a fantastically successful first year of concerts and hope to create more concerts going forward, during the lockdown we have started an initiative called 'Sorelle: Still Singing' and have put out regular virtual ensemble pieces online.
This September I am thrilled to have started a Masters course in Vocal Studies, at Trinity Laban in Greenwich, London. I usually earn my living by paid singing work in concerts and operas, and I busk to top this up and be able to save for my tuition fees. Unfortunately both singing work and busking have been impossible during lockdown, so I am really struggling to save enough for the course. I would really appreciate any amount you can give to help me save for September. Thank you so much
As a thank you to those who donate, I will invite you to suggest a song that you would like recorded and I will select one a week to record and post on my site (within reason, any Led Zepplin fans might be out of luck!). Sorry I cannot record everyone’s suggestions, as I will be busy with course work and studying.
Update: thank you so much to everyone who donated to my fees last year it really was a massive help, you're support means the world to me and I hope you're all enjoying your recordings! This year I not only need to cover my tuition fees but also audition fees for opera schools and studios that I am applying to for after my studies. I will still be offering to record an individual song for everyone who contributes.
