3rd Annual Guns and Hoses Competition

The 3rd Annual Guns and Hoses Competition is a local charity event, which helps support the less fortunate children in our community. Each year the Fayetteville Police Department compete against the Fayetteville Fire Department in a weightlifting competition, at Ozark Iron Gym. At the end of the event the winning team gets bragging rights and a trophy, but most importantly the proceeds are split between both teams.
The Fayetteville Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #10 will be donating their half of the proceeds to their annual Shop with a Cop program. This program helps to give over 200 children from within our community a Christmas they would not be able to have without this charitable event.
The Fayetteville Fire Department Local International Association of Fire Fighters will be donating their half of the proceeds to the IAFF Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance for sons, daughters, or legally adopted children of fire fighters killed in the line of duty who are planning to attend a university, accredited college or institution of higher learning.
