The primary purpose of the Jawhar Stokes Foundation is to address the need for greater awareness of Cancer among Children and Youth in America. Another purpose of the Jawhar Stokes Foundation is to also promote Healthy Lifestyles as a means of Prevention from Cancer and other physical, as well as Social Illnesses among Children and Youth. We also believe promoting healthy lifestyles allows for greater learning and creativity in our Youth. Our purpose is to support hospitals with Children and young adults in Oncology Wards, however, we are open to all patients diagnosed with Cancer. We will support any institution or organized professional effort to search for a cure for the many types of cancer that exist. With your help, we look forward to continuing to support Our Communities in a more enriching way.

Funds are being collected to provide support for creative hubs "Think Tanks" in our communities:
We believe in empowering parents with the necessary education and resources to advocate and help meet the needs of their children. As part of our efforts, we will also seek to bring awareness to the community with foundation-sponsored events. Through open dialogue, we intend to provide an environment that supports and maintains strong family structures and help parents and families make informed choices. It is our hope that this foundation will begin the movement towards agents for change that lead to new advancements in research, cures, or clear markers of the predisposition of these rare diseases and genetic disorders. The Jawhar Stokes Foundation is committed to the care, health and well being of children diagnosed with rare diseases and genetic disorders.
The Jawhar Stokes Foundation is named after and established in memory and honor of Jawhar Chioke Khaldun Stokes II. Jawhar Chioke Khaldun Stokes II whose name means God's Gift to Man Is Eternal Life, was a loving Son, Brother, Nephew, Cousin, Grandson, and Great Grandson to his Family. He was a dear friend and influencer to many of His peers. In losing a courageous battle with A.S.P.S. Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma. Jawhar has been able to inspire people all over the world to follow their dreams. Jawhar coined the term “You Start Dying When You Stop Dreaming.” YSDWYSD.
YSDWYSD (YOU START DYING WHEN YOU STOP DREAMING) is an organization and movement created by those who were inspired by Jawhar. The organization just celebrated its 5 year anniversary. We have team members doing excellent work in hubs in Washington DC, Miami, Orlando, Los Angeles CA, Oakland CA, Puerto Rico, Atlanta GA, and NY. We have worked with different Hubs, however, our efforts to curate the creative youths has been arduous. The restraints of not being in control of our own spaces have proven to be a nebulous task. This is why we are soliciting through crowdfunding to procure our own hub spaces in the cities listed above as well as other future locations.
All money raised will be used for :
To make donations of funds and materials, such as Toys, books, games, computers, and snacks to Cancer Wards of Hospitals that serve Youth that is diagnosed with Cancer.
To engage in the support of programs and organizations, and public and private schools that serve Youth through Educational Multi-Media Presentations and Service Learning projects for Progressive Lifestyles Education, and Citizenship and Civic Education, and Multi-Cultural Education and Humanity Education.
To engage in the support of and possible collaboration with organizations, and public and private schools that serve Youth through Healthy Mind and Body, Health and Nutrition, Healthy Cooking, and Prevention Maintenance programs and activities.
To engage in the support of programs and organizations, and public and private schools that serve Youth through Sports and Athletic programs and activities.
