Ashley’s Journey
Ashley is a single mother of a wonderful 6 year-old boy. In January 2020, she was diagnosed with a life-threatening liver disease and is in end-stage liver failure.
After multiple hospitalizations, her and her mother went to UPMC in Pittsburgh to go through a 3-day liver transplant evaluation. On the 2nd day, she was so ill, they admitted her & she spent 13 days in the hospital again. She is fighting for her life every day. They advised us to try to find a living donor because she had no chance of getting on the National Liver Waiting List & actually receiving a liver from a deceased person. Ashley has been through countless medical tests, several hospital stays, in a coma and on life support back in April, and now has to travel to Pittsburgh every single time she has to be admitted, tested, or evaluated. Her mother has to take her to all of her appointments and fund lodging while there, as well, due to the length of travel she has each way. If you cannot donate, we ask that you please join us in prayer for her and her family/friends as we try and navigate these hard times as best as we can.
