Pau Hana Swim Team Fundraiser

Hello friends, former teammates, and swimmers,
As all of you probably know, there are many swimmers and sporting teams that are not able to do what they love around the country due to COVID-19.
Fortunately this summer, we have been able to train together as a family (ohana) outdoors to get back to some sort of normal. It has been wonderful…priceless.. and just what we all needed. BUT….this fall/winter is another story.
The facility we call home is not opening to us, and there is no set date as to when that may happen, so we are once again without a pool.
We are not giving up…and have an opportunity to train at an outdoor pool but will need to buy a dome to cover it so we can continue training once the weather gets too cold.
Pau Hana was founded in 1968 by an incredible woman (Jill Griesse) who inspired, trained, and developed many talented swimmers who achieved world rankings, national and collegiate success. She also instilled in many of us the desire to give back and support, not only our swimming community, but each other. We have made it our mission to continue her tradition.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to have trained, competed, and coached in the sport that has meant so much to me. My Ohana is the swimming world; made up of former teammates, coaches, and also my current team of swimmers, coaches, and parents. We will forever be connected, and for that I am grateful.
We all want the same thing…for our kids to want to explore the unknown of their potential, gain self confidence, enjoy the camaraderie of belonging to a family that will always have your back….Not being afraid to be challenged and learning from your mistakes…and never giving up.
I am blessed once again to have the most wonderful and supportive swim families who are willing to go the extra mile to make this possible...but the total cost is beyond the scope of what we can do, and so my hope is that you will support our cause to help offset the cost for this big venture.
I am hoping that I can ask each of you who reads this, to help us reach our goal (to be able to swim in this upcoming season) by contributing to the cost of our dome. With so much uncertainty, and so much being taken away, swimming would provide that positive outlet needed for our kids.
Can you please help make our season happen…?
