Art exhibition: From F(ade) to E(mpowerment)

Donation protected
How do we envision women in the future? We want to provide an open space to think about different alternatives of women to a more inclusive society in the future. With the movements such as “#Metoo”, “Noustoutes”, we realize the importance of feminism and inequality among our societies and would like to raise awareness for this issue.

We are an international group of students in the Art and Cultural Management program at IESA and PSB, Paris and as our graduation project, we are organizing the exhibition From F(ade) to E(mpowerment) from October 21st to 26th 2020

We are here on this crowdfunding to ask for your support to make this exhibition happen. Every money donated will contribute to exhibition expenses such as:

- Offering our wonderful artists a fee of gratitude
- Transporting the artwork to the gallery and back to the artists’ studio
- Renting materials to display all the artworks
- Ensuring all the artworks in case of accidents
- Organizing inclusive roundtables with special speakers
- Conducting a series of interview with some professionals

As an all-female group from different countries and backgrounds, we suggest and challenge a question - how do we envision women in the future? Inviting various artists internationally, welcoming original speakers, we provide a safe place for our audience of deeper consideration on the future of the women.

Our aim with this art exhibition is to create an open space to better understand what feminism means today and the opportunities it offers for the future. We are convinced that women can’t be limited in only one form. Among the many ways of feminism, we have chosen to delve into Cyborg feminism, Eco-feminism, and Queer feminism, which we believe concern all women and other beings.

Cyborg Feminism: How new technology can be an ally for women by fortifying both their intellectual (through information) and physical states (through machines).
Eco-feminism: Following the concept of Anthropocene, it supports the idea of a new humanism where society would be freed from patriarchy and gender binary with all living beings treated equally.
Queer feminism: Suggesting another approach of feminism with the inclusivity of people of all gender and sexualities.

We sincerely hope that our exhibition can be one of the seeds of empowerment to grow in our society. Changing the mindset of people all around, to truly accept and appreciate women and individuals as who they are. Celebrating the beauty of differences among us.
