The Homeless Transition Fund

Frank Said:
"People Need To Hear Your Testimony"

So We Agreed To Start Up The Homeless Transition Fund,
With My Testimony as The First Story of The Fund......

The Homeless Transition Fund Was Organized to Prevent The Homeless From Becoming
Homeless Again By Funding Stability Needs.

"One Of The RoadBlocks of Chronic Homelessness Is
The Lack of Stability Within The Homeless Transition
From Shelter to Home."

Below Is a Letter to The Founding Donors
From The First Recipient.

Dear Sponsors,

Thank You From The Bottom of My Heart!
Without You Guys I Wouldn’t Know Where To Turn.
Some of You Know The Reason Behind This gofundme Campaign
&
For Those Who Are Not Aware of My “Situation”,
Allow Me to Explain...

Hello My Name is Chon (Sean)
&
I’m Originally from Michigan
&
On March 4th 2017 I Traveled to Utah Due to The Acceptance of a
Software Apprenticeship Program.
I’m Working Towards My Dream of:
Someday Launching My Very Own Motion Picture Hybrid Software.
7 Weeks After Orientation Our Apprenticeship Program Was CANCELED
&
The Funds To Support Our Program Got Cutoff & I Lost a $300K Stipend for The Production of: A Patent Pending Motion Picture Hybrid System Software.
Being That I’m 2,000 miles away from home,
I Did The Most Rational Thing
&
I Called My Mother… (HI MOM)
I Convinced Her That I Could Make Things Work by Booking Some Projects With My
Silicon Valley & Park City Connections….
(So I decided to stay in Utah)
I Was Depending on My Shear Ambition & Determination When I Made The Decision To Stay in UTAH.
I Began Reaching Out to Local Developers, Producers, Coders and Tech Engineers,
Until December 22nd 2018…
I Woke Up In Bed With Excruciating Pain
&
I Couldn’t Move My Legs.

(Stage 2 Kidney Failure)

I Was Bound to a Wheelchair for 32 Weeks and On The Brink of Dialysis.
Thanks to Some of the Best Physicians In The World @ The University of Utah, I am Now Walking and Recovering in Good Health.
I Have No Family or Friends in Utah, So The Only Resource that I Could Depend on Was a Shelter for Refuge Relief.
I Have Been a Resident @ The Shelter for Almost 17 Months & Nearing The End of  My Recovery We Faced Our National Pandemic of Covid-19.
There Was An Outbreak Within the Homeless Community & The Shelter Has Been Exposed to Over 120 Covid-19 Cases Within the
Past 3 Months.
(Which Made National News)
I Was Transported to a *State Sanctioned Covid-19 Quarantine Facility*
for Over 2 Weeks
&
Placed On Isolation for an Additional 6 Days After Quarantine. I’m Currently Back @
The Shelter & Placed On Frequent Covid-19 Testing.

But through it all,
I have learned that:
“Tough Times Don’t Last, Tough People Do”

Today,
Both of My Kidneys Are Functioning Well, I Have Made Great Progress With My
Software Project, I’ve Been Accepted Into a Program That’s Gonna Help Me With Housing
&
I’ve Had 4 Negative Covid-19 Test Results.

I'm trying my best.....
I Fear Returning Home as a Failure,
I Can’t Let My Family Down,
I've Worked Hard to Regain My Health and Wealth,
I've Been Threw So Much,
But I Can’t Dwell On The Past …
I Gotta Keep Moving Forward
&
Keep My Faith Strong.

I'm Sure That This Fund Will Someday Help Someone Else In Need
&
I Am Devoted to Help Growing This Fund In The Future

All Proceeds Will Go Towards My Homeless Transitional Housing Needs
As it Will For Others.
