Around walls Berwick 20 times

Donation protected
On SUNDAY 13th September I will be walking a M arathon around The "Elizabethan Walls", the old Berwick walls race route 20 times. This includes going up Bankhill, just had to add on 385 yards instead of the Great North Run which was cancelled this year.
I am doing this to raise money for the Great North Childrens Hospital at RVI in Newcastle split between wards 3 and 2A where two local girls have been receiving treatment over the last 3 to 5 years Spending many months at a time there away from home which is still ongoing. They are Alyssa Mulvey and Kelis Brown Bloomfield.

Alyssa had a stem cell transplant in October and is on Ward3. This ward is a bone marrow transplant ward dealing with children who were born with no immune system or severe immune conditions. It has 10 rooms and a day ward for pre transplant assessment as well as post transplant care.
Ward 3 has a fantastic charity called the "Bubble Foundation" which is fantastic for supporting the children and their families, but it is still unknown compared to other charities however no less important. Transplant is so serious and complex and an emotional time for everyone involved.

Kelis is on Ward 2A, she has Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) which is a chronic allergic inflammatory disease of the oesophagus. Airborne things such as grass pollen, trees and everyday things can cause respiratory failure.
Ward 2A specialises in respiratory and longterm ventilation as well as diabetes. In future it will become an all paediatric ward catering for all but still specialise in respiratory and longterm ventilation,

These are just two of the wards on the children's section and there are many more..., at least another 3 to 4 children from Berwick are receiving treatment on different wards there. Not that we want any of our children to be there but when needed we have one of the worlds leading hospitals in Newcastle who do wonderful lifesaving work.

Thankyou for taking the time to visit my go fund me page... Any donation is gratefully received and I know it will be put to good use .

Thankyou
Derek Morton.
