Pigeon Medical Fund

Great Lakes Pigeon Rescue has had an influx of complex medical cases and we're struggling to keep up with the expense.  Please consider making a donation to our medical campaign to help the many sick and injured birds that come through our care.

Please be advised that some of the images and stories to follow are graphic.

This is Lovey, who required surgery for the massive cyst on his leg. Now that he's recovering, he loves to snuggle with his foster mom and human foster siblings.

This next bird is Saffron, who was surrendered to us by an unnamed young woman who said "my dad raises racing pigeons and he is going to kill this bird and I don't want the bird to die." Saffron had been left with an untreated leg fracture so long that he'd torn all the skin off his keel trying to drag himself around the loft.

This is Otto, who has been battling a severe bacterial conjunctivitis, requiring multiple procedures and extensive med therapy.

And finally, this is Janet, rescued just this morning and rushed immediately for emergency hospitalization, for treatment for the massive abscess or tumor (not sure which yet) that's almost completely obstructing her airway.

We know there are many demands on your charitable attention, and we really appreciate your well wishes and support.
