Celebrating Ten Years of Half Nelson Fundraiser

Donation protected
This year marks the tenth anniversary of Half Nelson Trail in Squamish BC.  We are the builders and maintainers of the trail.  For the last twenty years we have been volunteering our time,  donating equipment and materials to improve the Squamish Trail network.   The Half Nelson Trail has challenging access, high amount of users and the cost of running the heavy equipment has lead us this crowd funding campaign.   After ten years we would like to continue to make improvements to the trail, but can no longer afford to do these improvements out of our own pockets. This fund will help pay for materials and machine time.  The trail gets used heavily by people from around the world seven days a week, 12 months a year.  The trail has held up well, but it is time to do some repairs and replace woodwork. We would like to thank the First Nations for permission, RSTBC for managing the trail network and SORCA advocating for mountain biking and also  for helping with some of grant funds and Mike Nelson of Cascade Environmental securing permissions and securing the original grant to make this trail happen.

2020 marks the ten year anniversary of Half Nelson and we would like to ask for your help to celebrate by continuing to make the trail even better.

We never imagined what the trail would turn out to become when we set out to build Half Nelson. Over the past ten years Half Nelson has been ridden by a countless number of people from every corner of the globe. To keep Half Nelson fresh over the past 10 years Dream Wizards has spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of volunteer hours maintaining and reshaping this iconic trail. Dream Wizards has also donated the heavy equipment and materials to continue Half Nelson’s legacy as a premier destination trail.

We acknowledge the contributions made over the last couple years by both the Province of BC and the fund raising efforts by our Local Not for Profit Cycling Association that have at times has helped offset our costs.

Thanks for your support, please do share this with anyone you think can contribute
