Home of my Own

I am Marc, a 51 year old in Michigan looking for a little help getting a place I can call home. I'd like to raise between $5000 and $10000 to help put a down payment on a more permanent residence for myself. I've worked hard all my life, like most of us, but the years are running short and I can tell my health will let me down before much longer. Having never earned enough to build any savings at all; again, like most of us, I appeal to my fellow man for a little assistance in setting myself free. I grew up in the country, and would prefer to die in the country if at all possible, and it would be nice to leave something behind for my son. I'm looking at fairly small, cheap, and rough properties. I can do almost any repairs necessary so I would prefer something that needs some love and care first.

Preferably we could get this together before the coming spring, when my lease at my current residence comes due, and if I can count on your support and generosity, you would receive my eternal gratitude and respect. Every little bit can add up, and I know I have donated some small amounts to a few folks through here and other platforms, and it just feels so good. Better than buying more cheeseburgers or that DVD that you'll watch once and put on a shelf. It feels good to give some one a hand, even in the smallest way, and I hate to ask strangers in the world, but I've been trying so long to put money aside and it keeps getting used on other needs. So I turn to this platform as it can't hurt to ask, right?
