First story

Hiwot is 18 years old girl with an outstanding high school grade finding it difficult to go to college due to financial issues. Her mother used to work as a maid in households and support her, but currently she is sick and unable to continue sending her daughter to college. The funding will provide tuition fee, living expense and supporting her mother through her illness. If Hiwot doesn’t get into college her options will be to be on the streets and face difficult life choice to support herself as well as her ill mother. The funding will be transferred to the beneficiary account and reports on college enrollment and other expenditures will be communicated back to the fundraisers. The girls are grateful to all contributors for the opportunity to stay in school. En-dres doesn't publish girls’ picture of kids to preserve their dignity.

Hiwot is second year now in http://www.cuea.edu/ and attending class online due to COVID. She is also receiving support to cover her monthly living expenditures of 150 USD and 400 USD per quarter to help her continue her education. She is thankful to all who extended support for her education.  She has moved now to second year college and started attending physically, she is brilliant and gets good grades. En-dres supports her with college fees, transport and living expenditures to enable her focus on her education. Her mother is doing well and looking for a job to support her as well.
We support  a rural elementary school to procure school supplies and snack for kids whose families are affected by the current locust problems. The annual requirement is 66,800 Birr estimated by the proposal sent to us by the principal of the school. We have managed to obtain local funding's in addition to the go fund to cover some of the costs.
We are supporting a 10 year old girl who lives in Nairobi as a refugee with her mother, supports her with 150 USD per quarter for school fees as well as living expenses. She has started a new academic year this August and we are committed to support her through her education.
Rama a ten year disable girl lives in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia, we support her family with 150 USD per quarter to pay for routine hospital bills and school fees. Rama loves studying, but her health challenges her to stay in school regularly. We are seeking medical facilities in Addis who can provide her treatments with reduced prices.  Recently she has gone through some treatments and surgery, and if funding permits, we have a plan to buy her electric wheelchair to support her mobility.

Through local NGO, we have a plan to coordinate and support girls in school to receive regular sanitary pads and educational materials, as this requirement prevents girls from attending school regularly. Supporting elementary  school kids with the provision of school supplies  and sanitary pads, we are identifying schools in the rural/urban areas that we can contact and support with this initiative and grow into other areas as well. The initiative is to support more girls to get an education, and formalize the initiative in a charity organization to support the coverage into a wider group.
