Food Allergy Awareness Campaign

Can you image a day when those with food allergies can see a sticker on your to-go order to ensure the whole staff was aware and mindful of your food allergies? And a sticker in the window letting you know they accept people who have food allergies. Look up a safe list of restaurants to dine at with an app similar to yelp, but for food allergies? A world where those with food allergies are not discriminated against when attempting to eat out? I will use this fund to create stickers for restaurants to use for to-go orders during COVID and non-COVID times. They will help restaurants get a good idea (and more data) on what allergens are on the rise, help keep restaurant staff on their toes, and help those with food allergies eat out more safely. It's said that nearly half of fatal food allergic reactions happen outside of the home and 53.9% happen despite conveyance of food allergy to restaurant staff, 26.6% occurred when allergens were declared on the menu, and 13.7 occurred when allergens were declared on the menu and restaurant staff were informed of a food allergy. We need some sort of change - and I feel it is my calling to get the ball rolling. I also hand-make food allergy cards for people who want to eat out and be taken seriously by restaurant staff.
