Somers Community Park

We are reaching out to ask for your financial support in funding the Somers Community Park. This dedicated park will provide a precinct where Westernport families can convene, pursue healthy outdoor and wellbeing pursuits, in a community-focused, indigenous setting.
After much community discussion it was realised there’s a growing need for a bike park in Somers. Mountain biking and jumping are growing sports in our area, but due to limited local sites, unauthorised jumps are being constructed. A designated bike park project has been developed, incorporating an indigenous garden to fit with the local environment and unique habitats in Somers. MP Shire have made it a ‘priority work’ item and approved a location, on and around the old tennis court at the RW Stone Reserve.
This community project will help develop bonds within our community and be an expression of what the Somers community is. This will be particularly important during the post-COVID landscape, where community connection and being outdoors will be an important part of our recovery.
The Somers Community Park cannot become a reality without your help. Individuals or families may donate any amount.
Donors of $250 or more have the option of being recognised on a Family Donor Board located within the park. Make your donation and we will be in touch.

All donations will be refunded in the unforeseen circumstance where the park doesn't go ahead.
