Janine's London Marathon Fundraiser
When Duffy did the London Marathon!
Lockdown has hit the fundraising opportunities of the Friends of Kelvin Grove really hard. No summer fair (and it doesn't look like there'll be a Christmas fair either) means that some of the amazing school improvement projects have been put on hold. So out of pure madness, I'm running the 40th (virtual) London Marathon on 4th October in an effort to try and give the Friends of Kelvin Grove’s fundraising efforts a kick-start.
Whilst not as much fun as paying cash to throw a soggy sponge at Mr Hyde, any money you perhaps would have spent at the fairs can be donated here and will go directly to the Friends of Kelvin Grove. I appreciate some families may not have money to spare, but if you do, then even the smallest amount will go to improving the school environment for our children.
Yours (red faced and sweating)
Janine (mum to Evelyn (Y4) and Margot (Reception)
