Centre Markets LLC is a woman-owned & managed initiative created in March 2020 to provide a safe, reliable and convenient way for our local farmers & food producers to deliver fresh, healthy food to our local community during the COVID 19 crisis.
We need help to maintain this critical link in the local food supply chain…..that’s where you come in! We need wheels to deliver local food to our community!
Little did we know when we dreamt this up, how essential it would become! The rapid rise of COVID cases in our University town is making it more important than ever for folks at higher risk to avoid congested areas and have a safe delivery option available.
In 6 short months….
We started with 2 vendors, and have grown to 23!
Marketed over $50,000 in local food to folks needing safe access and delivery
Partnered with a diverse array of organic farmers, local bakers & food entrepreneurs offering vegan, gluten-free, Brazilian, and Ethiopian specialties. Yum!
Our on-line farmers market (https://www.localline.ca/centremarkets) offers curbside pick-up too, but the delivery option is quickly showing itself as the crown jewel, especially for those in high-risk categories. We practice strict COVID safety protocol practices in our packing and delivery procedures.
Your contributions will support a reliable delivery van to keep local food purchases safe…and flowing!
We keep farmers farming, and eaters happy and healthy, in a remarkable way.
We have some prizes for y’all too!
Contribute $150 and get 10 free local deliveries! -- A $100 value! (Available to those in the State College/Boalsburg/Lemont area) Contribute $75 and get entered into a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to Centre Markets!
