Lake Onalaska Rehabilitation

Lake Onalaska Rehabilitation and Protection District is working on multiple projects on the lake and needs your help!  We have raised a portion of the funds needed to pay for the annual costs of maintaining the navigation paths that are cut with an aquatic weed harvester.  In addition to this cost we are also in the early stages of identifying and and planning habitat improvement projects.  This would most likely involve dredging to improve fish habitat and water quality.  To do this there are significant costs involved to plan and execute these projects with the first major expense being matching grants for creating a long term plan for the lake.  The need for funding is ongoing and we desperately need a significant injection of funds to move forward with any improvements.  If you fish,  hunt, or boat on the lake you know how badly improvements are needed and this money will be used towards fixing these problems!  If you have any questions feel free to contact Tony Christnovich at [phone redacted]
