Save Our Green Belt at Jealott’s Hill
Donation protected
We are campaigning to save 650 acres of Green Belt protected land at Jealott’s Hill where Bracknell Forest Council is proposing to allow the development of up to 2,000 un-necessary houses to finance a financially unviable Science Park for Syngenta.
We need funds to legally challenge Bracknell Forest Council over its Draft Local Plan for the land. We will engage planning, traffic and environment consultancy advisers as well as legal representation for a public inquiry which will be held during 2021.
This development is driven by the Syngenta company threatening Bracknell Forest Council to MAYBE move away unless the Council grants permission for the development. This development will be at the expense of both the local community and the neighbouring communities (Windsor, Maidenhead, Holyport, Bray and Maidens Green to name but a few) where the traffic and air pollution impact will be significant.
This private company will gain significant financial benefit from the allocation of this land for development without giving any enforceable guarantee that they will remain on the site if they succeed in getting the Green Belt protection lifted.
