We love Edmonds-- And a huge part of our "why" is because of the diversity in the downtown Edmonds restaurant scene. Our community is family and we really want to help keep it that way. 2020 was a brutal year and as this pandemic persists into 2021, we want local restaurant owners, staff, and employees to know that their community is still supporting them. Understanding that there is dire need for financial support, we (a few Edmonds natives/locals) are establishing this fund to hopefully alleviate some of the financial burden incurred over the past year. We see our restaurant owners pivoting constantly and working overtime just trying to keeps their businesses afloat... We don't want them to burn out permanently!
The plan is to distribute these donations to the local downtown Edmonds restaurants-- Our friends that keep our community eating so well. This is being done by word of mouth from owners and friends. As donations come in our goal is to support a specific restaurant in need at that time! MORE DONATIONS MORE SUPPORT!
The goal is to raise enough money to help each amazing restaurant in downtown Edmonds. We know how expensive space heaters, plexiglass dividers, lumber for panels and tenting is... Especially when your capacity is lower and patronage is down in general. We want to hopefully offset some of these costs so they're all able to keep their doors open.
We've already lost a few and don't want to see anymore doors close due to these extenuating circumstances.
Any amount of money that you can donate helps! Let's start 2021 off on the right foot and support our community, keeping our favorite gathering places open and profitable for years to come.
