Turquoise For Trav

Donation protected

From February 6th- February 16th, we will be raising money in honor of the great Travis Backs. The funds raised will be donated out to suicide prevention and awareness programs, the Alzheimers Association, Seneca Falls Nursing Home, and a fund will be created with EMBL3M for future events that we will be holding for Turquoise for Trav.

Travis Backs will be Honored this year by his friends and family by wearing purple or turquoise and posting a picture to social media with #turqouisefortrav, on February 6th, 2021.
Travis Backs took his life on February 6th, 2020, and is survived by his mother Holly Kline, and step-father Jeffery Kline, his sister Amanda Backs, his niece MaKenna, his nephew Trystan, and the many family and friends that he loved, and loved him in return. Travis, resided in Seneca Falls where he was working at Goulds Pumps, while diligently working to get his life back on tracks. His commitment and faith to take on the challenges that society and life presented, never let him lose focus on his future.
He had a strong passion for helping those with Alzheimers, as his Nana passed away in 2014 with Alzheimers, and often volunteered his time, especially around holidays at Seneca Falls Nursing Home.
Travis was an avid outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting on the weekends with his step-father Jeffery. He also loved to surprise his mother, Holly, at work with flowers, and treat her to frequent dinner dates, as a token of his gratitude to her.
His family and friends would describe him as a funny, genuine, tender hearted, giving, unique, loving, and handsome young man.
Travis had compassion and love for all. He had a way about him that would light up a room as soon as he walked in. His comedic side was always showing, and his love for his family and friends was self evident. To be in Travis's presence was beautiful and honorable.

The goal with Turquoise for Trav is to create a yearly fundraiser for a community, and nation at large, to bring awareness to suicide, and help keep people here, and fighting. Travis, like many of us had dreams and goals, that he sadly will never get to complete. I, Colin Reilley Chief Executive Officer of EMBL3M, am on a mission to let his legacy and donations to the things that mattered to him, live on.

Please consider donating so that we can continue to help keep Travis's legacy alive!
