Ontario Reptile Rescue seeks aid

Here at Ontario Reptile Rescue we accept surrendered reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, and arthropods. We provide all surrendered animals a warm solitary enclosure, proper husbandry, high quality diets, and medical attention when necessary. Reptiles are surrendered to us on a daily basis, many of which require a vet visit and medications.

Lizzy the Leopard Gecko was surrendered to us with severe mouth rot. When she arrived at the rescue she could not close her mouth due to the severity of the infection and her eyes were sealed shut with necrotic tissue. We promptly took Lizzy to a vet for medical attention where two large masses were removed from her mouth, leaving large abscesses. These open wounds in her mouth require daily rinsing and care. Unfortunately Lizzy ended up losing a large portion of her gums and both of her eyes. She is unable to feed herself so she will remain a permanent guest at the rescue.



Every donation, no matter how small, goes a long way to help animals like Lizzy and Rosie.

We accept rescues on a daily basis and strive to help those that cannot speak for themselves.

We seek aid to cover medical expenses, upgraded enclosures, and adequate care (heat bulbs, so many heat bulbs!)

In 2021 we helped 112 animals and we are on track to help even more this year.
