Hello my friends, my supporters, and my family,

For those who have known me as a performer as 3 A.M. Saints, you know that I often say that my life is a carousel.

This moment in my life plays into that.

Months ago, I came to you asking for your support for The Uptown Observer . At that time, we raised  $45,000 for the business, with half of the proceeds going back to the Kenosha community.

In fact, money from those donations helped several Kenosha businesses; one Kenosha family grieving a loss; a Kenosha musician struggling during COVID; a woman who needed a place to stay after being kicked out of her place; and various nonprofit organizations.

Because that was the promise I made when you all donated to the cause.

However, now I’m coming to you as a person asking for your assistance, your kindness in taking care of myself financially as the business now grows.

The Observer is profitable at this time, not by a great amount, but it is. I’ve made sure to keep it that way every step of the way.

That means that I have not taken a salary from it, and I’ve refused to play into the tactics that would help it to grow much faster than it is, because those are the very reasons the Observer exists.

If you believe in my work, and would like to support me as a person in this time, I would greatly appreciate that.

I will say upfront this time that ALL of the money raised will go to me and my personal bills and financial obligations, which for transparency is about $1,500 per month.

I don’t expect to reach anywhere near $45,000 again. I’ll be surprised if I get even $2,000-$5,000.

Not because people aren’t generous, but because I know that I’ve asked for so much in the last six months.

No matter what happens to me and my personal finances, The Uptown Observer will be around, and I will make sure that it always is.

However, I need your help to ensure that I am too.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and wherever you are, I hope you are safe, that you are happy and that you are on a path that makes you feel fulfilled.

Sincerely,

Daniel Thompson
