Make Rocco Realize His Dream: A Movie

I'm a 77 y.o. Italian, born in Rome, but from the deep South: Calabria. Started working as an audio engineer in film and music, then became an actor, director and scriptwriter for movies, theatre and TV.

Thanks to the passion my mother transmitted to me through the DNA, I was a movie buff since my childhood years and after getting a degree in Electronics Engineering, I started working as recording engineer in Italian and American movies. I had the great luck of working with great Italian directors, like Luigi Comencini, Sergio Leone, Gigi Magni, Mario Monicelli and EttoreScola; in the U.S.A. I worked with Edward Dmytrik and had the indescribable pleasure of meeting personally Robert Mitchum, Ali McGraw, (in the Winds of War mini-series) George Kennedy, Barry Sullivan, John Mills and the great Lee Strasberg.
Being the sound technician was lovely, as the quality of my recordings was really pretty good, but my real ambition was to be part of the cast, so I studied with the great Pino Ferrara and I became an actor. I worked on TV, on Italy's main channel, RAI 1 for fictions, soap and various programs, plus in various mainstream movies and in theatre, sometimes with my own plays.

Now that I'm not a young man anymore, I have this dream that I wish to realize: shoot my own film, based on four short stories that I wrote, about the sentimental  adventures and misadventures of a man (not necessarily the same one) at various ages: adolescent, young man, adult and mature. They're all written with humour and often with a surprise ending... I think that it'll be a good film that people will enjoy watching and have a smile, because probably the same things that happens to the main characters have happened in their life. 

Since the locations are real, we won't need a lot of costumes and props, and that will lower the budget, but I'll need to adapt the stories with a good script, buy or rent a couple of high quality cameras and have a team of first-rate technicians for the best picture/sound quality, plus obviously good actors, able to communicate the feelings of the text; I'll also need dubbing for the foreign version, plus editing and mixing.

I'd need the money before the end of spring, so can I start shooting in summer, finish post-production and have the film ready for autumn.

Obviously, I'll be eternally grateful to all the kind people that will help me realizing this project and their name will be included in the film start and end titles.
The major contributors will also receive a copy of the movie and the original script, with my handwritten thanks and if some would like to appear in the film as actors or extras, they'll be welcome.
