Supporting Miami's Inner-City Artists & Athletes

In the 1960s, my family immigrated from Cape Verde (islands in Northwest Africa) to America in hopes of a better life. Our first home was off of Blue Hill Ave (which inspired the movie of the same name), in one of Boston’s most notorious neighborhoods.

With hard work and the grace of God, I was fortunate enough to rise from those humble beginnings to achieve the American Dream of prosperity. I now call Miami Beach my home and spend my days helping others reap the blessings that were bestowed upon me.

As most of you know, I volunteer my stock market teachings online. I also serve as a track coach for children and the Miami community.

A third cause, in which I have been extremely active over the past couple of years, has been providing business / life coaching to artists and activists in the Miami inner city.

Art, music, and poetry (especially urban subgenres) boast a robust community in Miami. For the artists, however, monetizing their efforts can prove elusive... and when the cost of food & shelter exceeds one’s means? 

Well, you know they say about desperate times.

But I’ve been immersed in the culture long enough to see that these are exceptional young men and women. They deserve a chance at supporting themselves, if not more. So, please join me in contributing to the cause.

Every penny donated to this GoFundMe will go toward the projects that support this hard-working community. A portion will also be allocated to at least one of Miami’s youth sports or arts programs.

As you know, I don’t accept compensation for any of my activities. So, if you’ve ever benefited from my efforts and wanted to say “thank you” with more than words, this is the way.
