ABOUT BLACK&GAY:
We are an online-based initiative that seeks to advance our experience of the BIPOC 2SLGBTQIA+ community, while supporting the liberation of each member. Our purpose is to educate, amplify, and liberate the 2SLGBTQIA+ BIPOC community, while also bridging the gap of economic inequality.
Founded in February of 2021, BLACK&GAY aspires to become an official non-profit organization. Our vision is to create bold, safe, healthy environments where members can support, inspire, and connect with themselves and others.
True liberation is the goal, not only for us, but for all people across the globe. We aim to give marginalized members of our community a fair chance at education, mental health, acceptance, and peace.
WHAT WE DO:
BLACK&GAY creates safe spaces to connect and collaborate with individuals and organizations in the 2SLGBTQIA+ BIPOC community. B&G engages with community members around the globe via our virtual community center, The Virtual Junction.
We promote and sponsor opportunities for 2SLGBTQIA+ BIPOC businesses, artists, and creatives. Additionally, we host fundraising events, and distribute relevant news, entertainment, education, and health/wellness resources to our members. We strongly believe in our cause and our positive impact on the community.
OUR VIRTUAL PLATFORMS:
BLACK&GAY WEBSITE
Our website provides an internationally crowdsourced marketplace which allows members to display, distribute, and sell their media, products, and services.
INSTAGRAM
We host live interviews of creatives and entrepreneurs on our social media platforms to give them exposure. Additionally, we provide healthy, positive, and authentic representation of Black 2SLGBTQIA+ People.
THE VIRTUAL JUNCTION (via Discord)
Our virtual community center for members to share information, voice chat, get updates on upcoming events, communicate with our team, and receive love, support and encouragement from others in real time.
HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
First and foremost, we simply ask that you donate your time, although monetary donations are the primary source of funding and will help ensure our growth and success.

If you open your eyes, you can see the growing culture of so many LGBTQIA+ individuals of color across the globe and our continuing survival from oppression. Despite the spread of misinformation that creates fear and self-loathing globally, our community is persistent in winning the fight against discrimination!
