Loc8me Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
We will be attempting the Yorkshire three peaks challenge to raise money for Wishes For Kids in Leicester and Mind.
Our team from all over the UK will attempt to climb the three highest peaks of Yorkshire, within 12 hours. The total walking distance is 24 miles miles and a total ascent of 2,153 metres!
Both Wishes For Kids in Leicester & Mind hold a special place in our hearts, we have seen how much these charities can make a difference.
With your help, we are hoping to raise £5,000 for both charities if you would be so kind to donate we will do our best to complete the challenge! We look forward to receiving your support, below you will find some more details on both causes.
We are aiming to complete this as a full group but will follow Covid guidelines at all times , if this means that we can only fulfil this in groups of 6 then we will proceed with this.
Mind: Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. (https://www.mind.org.uk/)
Wishes For Kids: Wishes for Kids has been created to grant a wish for children and youngsters in Leicestershire who are life limited, terminally ill, have experienced life-changing physical or emotional traumas and have suffered major abuse. The Charity grants wishes for those of eighteen years and below. (http://www.wishes4kids.co.uk/)
