Creating a Play Environment 4 Taylor Made Academy

Hello my name is JoAnna Taylor and I have been a childcare provider in Solano County for 19 1/2 years. Children are "Tiny Humans" who need a safe place to learn and play and I have decided to expand my daycare into a private owned Academy. 95 % of the children we serve are from underserved socioeconomic backgrounds and they deserve the same early educational experiences that you find in other economic areas. WE are here to provide that for them. Play enhances brain and motor development, expands vocabulary, heightens memory, and develops self-control. Play allows for practice and repetition of newly acquired skills, competencies, and ideas. We have created amazing classrooms for them to take risks, solve problems and gain autonomy BUT they need a safe play structure and equipment for child directed play outside. Gross motor skills are essential at this age and it's our job to provide the tools for the children to create by fostering programs based off of their interests and abilities. I have worked with children for many years and I am excited to be able to bring a new Academy into Solano County. There is urgent need for more schools and preschool programs in Fairfield and with the pandemic parents are struggling to find places open with safe quality care for their children. Please help us to reach more children in our community by partnering with us to help pay for their outside quality play environment.
