Patrick Lipe, business owner, father and husband, passed away on 02/16/2021. Patrick grew up in the foster care system and was the victim of abuse in some of the 13 different foster homes he was in until the age of 16, where he ended up with a family that loved and cared for him that changed the trajectory of his life.

California CASA, or court appointed special advocates, is a program that ensures that children and youth in the foster care system have both a voice and the services they need for a stable future. Patrick and his family believe that this program can help children like himself find a loving and supportive home to ensure a successful and happy future.

In his memory, you can donate here and we will pass along to CalCASA. A generous benefactor will match any donations made here. We will post the donation receipts here.

We're also accepting donations for a dedicated table at Santee Lakes , one of Pat's favorite places to enjoy the outdoors locally. The total for this bench is $2,000. If you'd like some of your donation to go to the dedication, please add a note, otherwise we will count your donation toward CASA.

Memorial Information:

We'll be hosting a Zoom Memorial in addition to a small in person gathering at Harry Griffen Ampitheater on March 17th, St. Patrick's Day, at 4:30pm PST. We're asking for anyone who wants to say a few words to record a 15-30 second video and upload it to our Drop Box account. We'll show your video at the memorial. Please upload videos before 3/14 or your video may not be included. We will be keeping everyone muted during the memorial so please make sure to send in a video if you want to share some words about Pat.
