Rehab and medications for our long term dogs.

Donation protected
The reality of rescue is that our adoption fees only cover our basic vet bills and minor surgeries. When we get a dog that arrives with major behaviour issues or Urgent surgeries, funds are zapped.

Our vet bills are huge, as all our vets can confirm. We are constantly being reminded of our accounts running over.

We can't thank people like ARC for food donations enough.   Flea and Tick treatments (Chews) are very expensive too. So when we are able to receive donations for these we are truly grateful.

Our merchandise is only a small percentage of our funds and adoption fees are the main source for our funding.  The second most needed are donations. This allows us to help more dogs like Loki, Ace and Bella who if went to the pound may not make it out.

We are under a lot of pressure and we receive 100's of emails about dogs needing help. We simply cannot do it without funding for behaviour modifications and Rehab.

Our weekly bills include:

Surgeries (We have had many Luxating Patellas, eye surgeries ect)
Dentals (Many dogs come into our care needing urgent dental doing)
medications (We have several dogs needing heart meds, Cushing's meds, anti-anxiety meds,  etc)
Specialised Diets (Two of our greys need a special diet, for weight increase)
Behaviour - Rehab (3 of our dogs are in Rehab and Boarding with Bear the behaviourist)
Boarding - Often we have to board a dog if issues in a foster home arise.
Transport - We travel far to help our dogs, Petrol, Tolls etc
Monthly Flea, Tick, wormers
Vaccinations
Desexing
Microchipping

At the moment we have the following dogs needing extra Fund:

Princess:  Our French Bulldog , who we think is deaf. Her skin is shocking and she will require a long time in care due to ear infections that have been untreated.

Napolean:
Napolian is our 10-year-old Pomeranian, who came into our care due to his owners bigger breed dog and this tiny little fella getting in too little fights. Not good for an old man with no teeth. Here is an update from his foster carer.
He's got a lot going on.
His kneecaps are weak and he's a stage 3/4 for a medial luxating patella.
He has a collapsing trachea and will need x-rays to check the extent. Plus she thinks he should have an x-ray on his front legs at the same time.
The collapsing trachea is why he's always coughing.
We've removed his collar and will find a harness that fits him.
He will need blood work to rule out any other mature small dog issues.
And will need to start on arthritic support powders and injections.
We book him in to have his vaccinations done at this vet and the arthritic support.
We will discuss what needs to happen next with our vet and update you all later.
He is a gorgeous wee man, charming and sweet.

Loki and Ace and Raven:
Still in Boarding/ Training $1300 per week.

5-week old puppies:
Two have passed away and we have two left who are fighting hard. They came in to care with Hookworm and Canine Corona Virus. Our vet bills for Emergency treatment exceeds $2000

10 x Pups: Arriving next week.

Manu:  Our Whippet had his lesions removed and is recovering well BUT more tests are required to rule out cancer.
