The closures and restrictions of 2020 & 2021 mean St Anne’s City Farm is facing an unprecedented challenge to survive.  We rely entirely on support and donations from visitors to our farm.

Raising €10,000 from St Anne's City Farm supporters, big and small, will safeguard the future of St Anne’s City Farm, and provide resources for us to continue our work and remain open. We lost almost 100% of our income stream due to COVID-19 restrictions and closures starved the farm of the on-site donations and trading income, which are vital to us  to stay open.

We have plans for the future!

And we want to continue to deliver services and opportunities for our community, and the visitors to St. Anne's Park.

The outbreak of COVID-19  meant thousands of people have, for the first time, gotten a glimpse of what it feels like to be socially isolated.
In the wake of this crisis, we believe we have a vital role to play.

St. Anne's City farm’s value as an accessible, safe, and welcoming space to connect is more important now than ever before.
We need to remain here and continue our outreach to the immediate and wider community, young and old.

We continue to once again connect with old friends, and welcome new ones looking to join and take part in our collective. We want to give back, educate and share our happy community with others.

Any contribution you can make will help ensure St. Anne’s City Farm remains open as a needed space for the local community, schools, local groups and visitors to the park to re-connect, get outdoors and access sustainable, educational and support programmes in the wake of the COVID-19 lockdowns.

We know we can rely on the generosity, resourcefulness and kindness of spirit of our community and supporters.

From the St. Anne's City Farm team, volunteers young and old, and of course all of  the animals at St Anne’s City Farm, THANK YOU xxx

About the Farm

Set within the boundaries of Dublin’s second largest municipal Park, St.
Anne’s City Farm is a community-based Urban Farm. Our farm is home
to a host of rescued animals, great and small, from donkeys to
guinea pigs.

Exclusively run by volunteers, this urban farm strives
to promote education in a family-friendly environment that cares for, and
nurtures both animals, people, and plants.

Ecological sustainability and self-sufficiency are one of our key principles
and the St Anne’s Allotment Gardens provide us with food to feed the animals in our care.

During the summer months, we host educational classes and
workshops for adults and children. In addition to these educational
programmes, we host several cultural events throughout the year.

The current restrictions have seen St Anne’s city farm closed to the
public until further notice. Through lockdown closure, our team of
committed volunteers continue to work tirelessly to maintain the farm
and care for the animals.

We are extremely proud of our extensive team of youth volunteers, aged
from 8 to 21. This youth team continue to volunteer their time, care for
the animals and are always eager to learn both through our classes and
workshops. They develop their knowledge and skills through our own
internal animal-care training programmes.

Since 2019 we have seen first-hand the importance of community and
education on our farm. In 2021 we hope to expand our educational
facilities and our farm shop which sells farm-related merchandise to
raise funds for the farm.

Our long-term plans include developing our site as a ‘green school’
where we can educate in off-grid farming using renewable energy
sources and water conserving technologies.

The catchment area of St Anne’s park is vast, and we want to extend our
reach to all visitors to the park. We continue to connect and engage with
local schools and community care programs and look forward to
welcoming visitors as soon as restrictions allow.
