Support Jen in her Treatment for Cancer!

Hi everyone,

My dear friend Jen has been battling cancer. She was first diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma stage 3 in 2008, and she successfully beat it!

However, she found out a year ago (from a lump in her clavicle) that it had returned at stage 4. Aside from having to deal with this new diagnosis, she also had been experiencing severe eczema/topical steroid withdrawal, which became so bad that she couldn’t wear shoes properly and suffered from severe inflamed skin from her knees down. She’s also a full-time caregiver to her mom who has a spinal cord injury who uses a wheelchair & a walker as she recovers. Thankfully her skin is doing much better these days! Here is her website & social media platforms to learn more about her eczema healing journey: Eczema Holistic Healing

Jen also recently (March 5) lost sensation in her legs (they went numb to where she was weak with wobbly knees holding onto everything to walk) as well as losing bladder control, and had to go to the ER. She stayed in the hospital for 6 days where with an MRI they found a new tumor that was pressing against her spine (T1-T3) affecting her ability to walk and the bladder control (which is all better now!).

She is now able to walk again, with the use of a walker for better stability and physical therapy. She has also completed her 10 intensive radiation treatments on the spine (hooray!).
These photos are of the radiation machine. She had the green mask tightly on her face, keeping her head super still as the treatment happens.

You get to ring the bell when you finish your last round of radiation treatment.

This is where the medi-port is located, in her chest. It’s a little disk that is placed in a pocket made beneath the skin. The catheter part is tunneled underneath the skin and connects the port to a large vein for the nurses to administer the immunotherapy and chemotherapy.

She is currently going through 4 cycles of immunotherapy & chemotherapy (Nivolumab & Brentuximab) to help shrink down the tumors in her body.

I am creating this GoFundMe campaign for her in order to raise money for her treatments, doctors/naturopath visits, and supplements to help her heal in this process.

Jen originally hesitated to create this because she didn't want to put anyone in a tough spot for helping her out during this covid pandemic, but I really want to be able to help her out because she deserves our love and support from the community.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and to support her!
