I would like to introduce you to our daughter Serenity Elora Qurin Thompson. Her name means "God has given me the peace to see that He is the light to help me walk as my father's child."
Serenity has embodied the meaning of her name for 17 years and has transformed into a model student at Beacon High School. She will be graduating in June with a 4.0 average. Serenity also serves as a mentor and teaching assistant for young girls of color at Cultured Movement, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting cultural awareness and a higher consciousness of dance as an art form for young black girls.
Serenity was accepted into Hofstra University, Penn State, Suny Potsdam, Hunter College, Lehman College, and College of Staten Island. However, due to the fact that my husband lost his job because of Covid-19 and our estimated family contribution for Serenity's tuition, we can't afford to pay for Serenity to attend Hofstra, which is her dream school.

Penn State- $42,232.00
Suny Potsdam- $25,734.00
Hunter College- $31,754.00
Lehman College- $31, 782.00
College of Staten Island- $31, 862.00
Serenity has to make her decision for college by May 1, 2021, and the amount of money we raise will determine where she will be attending.
