COVID-19 book fundraiser: Isolation 2020

Hey, my name is Chris Fernandez, I am a Scottish Photographer, primarily based in London. When the country was put into its first lockdown, I was out of work (like so many others) and while adjusting to the new restrictions, I became interested in others own experience of being constrained to their own four walls. From my top floor flat, I could see numerous and diverse ranges of families, couples and friends living out their lives confined to their homes. Beginning with a makeshift poster on my own window, the project was born. Over the next four months I travelled across London during the evenings and photographed 80 volunteers' personal experiences of lockdown through their windows. All profits raised from the project went towards creating luxury hampers for NHS workers on the front line.
This is perhaps my proudest achievement to date, but undoubtedly a lot of work. Now I am asking for help to get these images published in the form of a book. This project has always been a completely collaborative effort and I hope that it will serve as a memoir of such a unique and challenging time for all whose hands it will fall into. In order to fulfil this goal, I am setting out to raise £15,000. This is where you come in. I would love it if you would consider sharing this as far and wide as possible. I would be so grateful for any contributions, big or small. This money will contribute printing costs, paper and designer fees. It goes without saying, this project has made no money, and in keeping with this theme, I will be donating a percentage of any income made on the book to a mental health charity that has supported those struggling in the UK.
