Virtual Mizen to Malin Challenge

Rathkeale 2 is a small two teacher school located on the edge of Rathkeale, Co. Limerick. At present we have 21 pupils on roll. Our pupils and staff plan on walking/running/cycling a combined distance of 600km this May, which is the approximate distance (by road) from Mizen Head to Malin Head. We are hoping to raise funds to restock our school library. Reading is so important for children as it allows them to be transported to worlds different from their own. It also provides the opportunity to learn new words and phrases and acquire skills and knowledge. Reading for pleasure benefits wellbeing, mental health and empathy.
