Cornamaddy Marathon Challenge
Donation protected
Cornamaddy National School, with the support of the school community, has set up this family-friendly fundraiser to improve fitness throughout the school and raise funds to improve our school yards.
Over a 6 week period from the middle of April to the end of May every pupil in the school will complete a movement challenge. Our youngest pupils will run 10 kilometres, our middle classes will complete a half marathon and our senior classes will complete a full marathon of 26. 2 miles (42. 19km). It is hoped that this fun and healthy month-long event will brighten up our school and help kick-start our summer 2021 fitness regime. We invite all family members to join us by following the distance plan on www.cornamaddy.org.
Over the past number of years we have run a number of successful fundraising projects that has contributed to many improvements throughout the school including the walking track, purchase of equipment and our outdoor classroom. All funds raised through this marathon challenge will offset the cost of improving and re-painting our school yards.
Enjoy, and as always, thank you for your support.
