Hello, I am a black non-binary survival worker trying to get on my feet. I still live with my family and it’s really unhealthy for me. A while back I was sexually assaulted by my fiancé. When I told my family what happened. The first thing that came out of their mouth was that I was lying. Then, it was that obviously it was somehow my fault that he did it to me. Even when he came and said he was sorry and apologize to them. I was blamed for what happened. That has an irreparable damage to my relationship with them.
We never had a good relationship to start with and that was just the last straw. I have moved out once and I want to move out again. The only issue is no one in my family has transportation right now. I literally don’t know how to drive and our family car does not work.
I sadly live very far away from the inner city where all of the jobs are. I live 7 miles away from the nearest drugstore. Almost 10 miles away from the nearest grocery store and I have absolutely zero transportation. I have tried several times to get jobs thinking that if I worked really hard with my online job I could keep up with the cost of lyfts back-and-forth for my vanilla job. It did not work. I truly need help getting a means to transportation.
So I’m asking for help to raise money so I can get a really good used car, A laptop for school, and money so I can move out into my own space.
