Help Lai afford Trans-Related Surgery!

Donation protected
I’ve been out (trans) for about 5-6 years now. After I came out, and began college, I suffered a huge depressive streak and never left my home for 2 years straight. Now, in 2021/22, I’ve finally escaped it and am on hormones that are slowly changing my body.

However, I have dreams and ambitions, and feel the way I look holds me back. I’ve currently lost 3 and 1/2 Stone to apply for surgery, and am pushing myself out into the  world again. I hope this shows that I too, am dedicated to my changes and will never let up.

However, the NHS (as amazing as it and it’s workers are) can’t cover everything. So I am looking for financial aid to help assist me in these pursuits. The £10,000 I am looking for will help me in the following ways;

  • Skin Tightening (through surgery); as I have lost over 3st and continue to do so, my stomach and other area continually droop and as I’m unwilling to equal it out with muscular exercise (to avoid any masculine appearance that may fill out the skin).
  • Breast Augmentation; due to the weight loss, and the fact hormones only go so far, I’ve been somewhat left with droopy and somewhat not-so feminine breast areas. (Very separated) And BA would help me sort this permanently rather than buying fillers or fake padding.
  • IPL Hair Removal; I’ve had a few appointments over the past year regarding these and the message is this. NHS funding cut-backs have reduced how many sessions we get. And it has effected me being able to remove my facial hair. Which is the most dysphoric sensation when I look in the mirror everyday and when I see people look at me. Using the money, I’d use it to get more sessions at the clinics.
  • Voice Feminisation Surgery; otherwise known as a Glottoplasty will help raise the pitch of my voice through surgical means which allows me to travel, in and out of the U.K. without my main tell giving me away and putting me in danger.

  • Tracheal Shaving; otherwise known as Adams Apple Shaving, will reduce the overall size of the Adam’s apple which appears in those who are AMAB (Assigned Male at Birth).

I hope these explanations of each surgery, and why it’s important to me, will help you in your decision to help fundraise. Thank you.
