Sampson and Sounder's Burns

On Sunday, January 29th, two dogs who we named Sampson and Sounder, after being found abandoned alongside a road, were brought to Moore Humane Society, located in Carthage, NC. Sampson had severe burns on his face and neck, Sounder, on his hindquarters. Both with burned paws. These poor dogs have been receiving treatment since.

We are doing the very best we can, but because Sampson’s and Sounder’s treatment and recovery are extensive, we are humbly asking you to help us pay for their medical costs which are mounting by the day. After their hospitalization, both dogs will require follow-up appointments, rehabilitation and fostering which will further add to our cost to save them.

Moore Humane Society has been working with Humane Society of the United States and Chatham County Sheriff’s Department to investigate and help identify the individual(s) who may have been involved. And/or the circumstances which led to the dogs’ current condition. Depending on the outcome, criminal charges may be forthcoming.

Both of these sweet dogs so much deserve happy and fulfilling lives. And we need your help to help them!
