Clay Pierce Medical/Recovery Fund
Clay was hospitalized Feb 3th with a serious infection. The first antibiotic resulted in an allergic reaction and he swelled up and became sick, they quickly switched him to a different one that began working. The doctors did an emergency surgery and found a ruptured bowel caused by severe diarrhea, feces had entered his abdominal cavity and had to be removed by the doctor. This caused him to become severely infected and near death from septic shock. After this first surgery he began to recover. They found that more tissue was dying and became gangrenous and had to perform another surgery to remove dead tissue. The doctor believes he got most of the infected tissue, now its up to the antibiotics. If they do not work enough thats very bad news and may cause a follow up surgery to be necessary. All donations will be to pay the debt Clay incurred from his Hospital visit and to support his recovery after he is released to insure he can regain his strength and get back to full health.
