Let’s Cure Tinnitus and Hyperacusis

Tax deductible

Having Tinnitus and/or Hyperacusis can completely devastate a person’s life, and yet, it’s not really talked about all that much. You could say it’s a hidden illness but that would be an understatement, so I want to help change this. There have been far too many tragic suicides that have gone unnoticed in the public eye and this simply cannot continue.

Danny Boy selflessly dedicated a lot of his time to helping others with this awful affliction; he was a true inspiration to many and an esteemed member of Tinnitus Talk. Sadly, in his case, he developed more problems because of his tinnitus and this had a dramatic impact on his quality of life. However, his cause of death at this present moment is still unknown. He was only 27 and left behind a young daughter, so I cannot express how saddening and tragic this is.

I am pleading with you all to make a donation towards Tinnitus Research, today, and to help make the breakthrough we need. No one should have to suffer like this. All donors will be involved in a democratic process to decide who the beneficiary of our fund will be. More details can be found here, from David Stockdale, the CEO of the BTA:

A message from Daniel’s family:

Daniel was an intelligent, humorous and caring person. He was passionate about helping sufferers of Tinnitus whilst suffering with it himself. He spent hours online researching possible solutions and was adamant there would be a cure for Tinnitus one day. Daniel was an inspirational young man who motivated a lot of people to follow their dreams. Daniel will be truly missed by many. Danny, we love you.

Daniel’s mother Tara, his cousin Jess, his sister Jenna, and Daniel.

RIP Danny. You’ll never be forgotten.
