Rex Marco Special Needs Equipment Fund

On Sunday, July 21, 2019, our dear friend Dr. Rex Marco suffered a severe neck and spine injury during a bike ride. He underwent emergency surgery that same evening at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center.
This accident and the resulting injuries will have a lasting impact on Rex’s health, and he will require ongoing medical care. A Caring Bridge website has been set up for family members and friends to receive updates on his health.
It is difficult to express just how much Rex means to all of us. A message was posted on the Caring Bridge website by Rita K. She shared, “Rex, you are the most amazing and brilliant physician, mentor and friend. You have a world full of friends and colleagues.” Rita expressed it perfectly.
Rex has supported and encouraged so many of us through his talents, his kindness, his skill as a physician, and his dedication as a friend and a father. That’s why it’s so important for Rex and his family to know that we are here for them throughout his recovery.
Many of you expressed a desire to help Rex and his family during this difficult time, so this GoFundMe site was set up by Rex’s Cornerstone family. These funds will be used for expenses that arise on a continuous basis while Rex is in longterm therapy at TIRR Memorial Hermann. The funds will be withdrawn and allocated appropriately by Rex’s financial advisor.
As a community of friends, family members, and colleagues, we will continue to raise him up in our prayers and stand by his side to support him and his family through his journey of recovery.
