Link's Kidney & Pancreas Transplant Fund

Hey Guys,  My name is Lincoln. I have been a diabetic since I was a young boy. My diabetes has taken its toll on my body and has damaged my eyes, heart, and kidneys, and other parts as well. I had a heart attack in 2015 and now have 4 stints in my heart. I was blind for about a year and a half and by God's grace, I am able to see! This is a great blessing because I am a painter and enjoy making art.  I often paint pictures of people, showing their emotions and their personalities. I often paint portraits of celebrities and pop icons. I give away many of my paintings to close friends and acquaintances, who may not be able to pay for them. Many of my paintings can be seen hanging up at Fireside Bottles and Brews  in Granite Falls, NC and on Facebook at  Blind Side Art . I recently moved from Tennessee to North Carolina to be closer to my family, including my brother, sisters, my son, daughter, grandson, and granddaughter. I really enjoy being so close and getting to spend time with them. Now, something else threatens my health, time with my family and my ability to make art. My kidneys are failing. I have recently began dialysis, a process that removes toxins from my blood, something my kidney's once did. My doctor says that I need a kidney transplant soon. A pancreas transplant would cure my diabetes and cease damage to my body. This GoFundMe page is intended to raise the funds to pay for the operation and the care I would need afterward. The surgery can cost upward of $400k. I have been told that I will need at least $6,000 to cover initial expenses, including immediate care after surgery. I will be required to take anti-rejection medications that will cost around $200 per month for at least 3 years following the surgery. I hope you will consider giving to help with my surgery so that I can continue to enjoy life, my family, and share my artwork with others. All excess funds after my transplant and care will be dontated to the National Kidney Foundation to help other patients like me who are in need of life-saving transplants.
