Musu and her children

You may know the country of Liberia, West Africa, or maybe you have been blessed to visit this wonderful part of the world on a short-term mission trip like me. At this moment not only is Liberia still recovering from two civil wars totaling 11 years (1989-97; 1999-2003), and the Ebola outbreak which lasted two and a half years, after the first case was discovered. The outbreak ended with more than 28,600 cases and 11,325 deaths according to the CDC. Now, like the rest of the world, Liberia is experiencing the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic having confirmed at least 226 cases and 21 deaths from the coronavirus as well as Liberians being on lockdown it makes it difficult for anyone to do anything. And just this past April 11th, 2020 a heavy rainstorm destroyed many homes across Monrovia, Liberia. The picture to the left is just one house destroyed by the storm.

Musu, a single mother and 3 of her lovely children. They live in Liberia, West Africa . They recently lost their home to the big storm that blew through their village. Their home was unable to be salvaged as the zinc roofing was torn off, the walls crumbled into pieces as you can see in the picture. This family belongs to a dear friend of ours, so close of a friend that we call him our son, Nathaniel. In the picture is his mother, Musu, along with his siblings.  Nathaniel is doing what he can to help his mother and brothers. He has reached out to Faith my wife and I for assistance and prayer in believing in God's provision and love. I believe in God’s love for all nations and mercy over all creation. Scripture says in the book James:

“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” James 1:27 NKJV

With financial support and the help of a local Liberian Pastor to oversee the project, we are believing in God for the provision to build a simple two-bedroom house for Musu and her children. In addition, we would like to purchase bedding, hygiene supplies, cookware, food, etc. To do this we are looking to raise at least $2000 by June 1st, 2020.  Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us in this endeavor? Any amount helps and is appreciated. Thank you and we are looking forward to having you partner with us.
