Una Casa per Mabello, un rifugio per ogni anima

Per L’Associazione Protezione Animali “Mabello” Onlus, che da ormai 5 anni (ufficialmente, ma anche da più tempo) si occupa di riscattare la dignità e la vita dei pelosi più sfortunati in un territorio martoriato (in maniera esponenziale prima di Mabello) dal fenomeno del randagismo, avere un rifugio nuovo a norma e in totale sicurezza per i pelosi sfortunati è un grande sogno riposto oramai da troppo tempo nel cassetto. Con questa raccolta fondi vogliamo iniziare a concretizzare quel sogno con la speranza che presto si tramuti in realtà.
Abbiamo pensato che prima di illustrarvi il nostro sogno, vogliamo farvi conoscere la realtà in cui ci troviamo, una realtà che per quanto basata sull’amore e il sacrificio per garantire il meglio a queste anime risulta essere in termini materiali insufficiente, pur garantendo con il massimo degli sforzi tutte le cure necessarie e le attenzioni di cui necessitano.
Il rifugio di cui disponiamo oggi si trova in un terreno privato, costruito con materiali di fortuna raccattati in giro, comprati o che ci sono stati donati. L’ubicazione non è proprio delle migliori poiché si trova in una zona montana dove combattere il freddo e proteggersi bene dalle intemperie nei mesi invernali non è semplice; la luce del giorno ci abbandona molto presto quando le giornate si accorciano e portare a termine tutto ciò che c’è da fare è davvero difficoltoso.
Nonostante ciò i nostri pelosi hanno una vita dignitosa, possono sgambare e socializzare sotto lo sguardo vigile dei nostri volontari. Ma purtroppo questo non basta, soprattutto in termini di legge.
Abbiamo bisogno di uno spazio più facilmente accessibile e raggiungibile dai nostri volontari, meglio organizzato, più gestibile e sicuro, in sostanza uno spazio che migliori la qualità della vita dei nostri amici e gli consenta di poter vivere meglio, offrendo ampi spazi, box confortevoli, un ambulatorio di sterilizzazione, aree di sgambamento e tante altri progetti che poi man mano vi illustreremo. La nostra intenzione sarà quella di essere più trasparenti possibili, mostrandovi di volta in volta tutti i progressi che riusciremo a fare e forse anche qualche difficoltà da affrontare.

The protection animal Association “Mabello” ONLUS has been involved, for the last 5 years, in redeeming the dignity and life of our furry friends who unfortunately live in a territory where the problem of straying is common and widespread. For our Association has always been a dream come true to have a new, functional, full equipment animal shelter, but until now this dream has been unachievable. With the help of this fundraising we hope, we wish to make this dream a reality. However, before we explain this dream to you, we thought it is better to highlight the daily condition in which we operate. All the love, all the sacrifices that we put into our job to guarantee, to offer the best service, the best cures to our furry friends, are not enough. Every day, we struggle to fulfill our mission because of lack of material aid, of practical goods and support. The shelter that we run, it was built with improvised tool, with means founded and donated. Also, the shelter is located in a private mountain land and during cold season is becoming more challenging to keep our friends warm and have our work done.
Despite all the obstacles and thanks to the magnificent work done each day by our volunteers, our furry friends can run, play happily in a safe environment.
Like previously said, this is not enough, especially in legal terms. We are in need of a space that will be not only more easily accessible and reachable by our volunteers but also more safe and manageable to ensure a better quality of life of our animals. We are in need of a wide space, comfortable boxes, sterilized ambulatories, open areas where our guest can play and run freely and much more that we will explain to you later. We will be always clear about our projects, showing you both our progress and our difficulties that we have to overcome.
