Adapt Shower Facilities for Female & Trans Players

The Coventry Corsairs RFC are a fully inclusive Rugby club, which means we welcome all players regardless of age, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity. Since our founding in June 2019 we have seen a considerable growth in our membership with a number of our new members identifying as transgender. In addition since the launch of our Ladies' Team at the start of this year we have also seen a surge in female membership. We have been extremely fortunate to have a very supportive partner in Coventrians RFC who have allowed us to use their facilities for training and playing.  However as there is only a single shower block in the clubhouse this has caused logistical issues when it has come to protecting the dignity and privacy of all of our players. We are looking to raise funds so we can adapt the existing shower facilities so that all of our players (male & female, cisgender & transgender) are able to enjoy the facilities comfortably. During these unprecedented times, we appreciate many who wish to support us may not feel financially able to. With that in mind we are also looking for volunteers to help club members with some of the work as that will help keep costs down.
