Dad Mortgage Assistance After Tragic Work Accident

Spende geschützt
My names Michael and i would like to help my dad after a horrific workplace accident to finish paying his house off. I’ve always admired dad his name is Mark he is 64 . My entire life he has done nothing but put his family first. Going to work every single day working long hours to pursue his dreams for him and and his family until unexpectedly a day in February 2020 while amidst his daily day to day duties around one tonne of timber sleepers fell upon him whilst being transported by a forklift unloading his truck. My understanding is that if safety procedures were in place and/or more vigilantly enforced it could have been prevented. It all started as a normal day, Dad woke up around 2:30-3:00 am had a coffee and kissed his wife , my mum goodbye. See you later lovey... that was the last time dad ever left for work, by 7am dad was fighting for his life after somehow surviving such a brutal impact. I’ll never forget getting the call while working at 12:20pm. Mum was on the other end, It’s dad michael I heard her voice tremble and my stomach twisted up like a pretzel. I raced to the hospital . We couldn’t see him for a long time because he was in surgery to save his life for 9 hrs. We weren’t sure of anything at this time , we just knew it was bad . When we could first see him for a moment he was in an induced coma. He had injuries all over his body consisting of a shattered pelvis, ruptured intestine ( he now has a colostomy pouch) crushed/broken arm /hand and fingers and badly broken leg including compound fractures , both of which the doctors wanted to remove at first. He had very big lacerations on his head and parts of his body . He had forte 11 and forte 111 facial breaks that all required reconstruction with plates and screws simultaneously with his leg and arm. His teeth were all smashed out of his mouth and he could not eat drink or talk for months . In total it was 53 or 56 bones in total broken. Then 7 days before he was due to come home he complained of severe pain in his stomach and after tests it was decided he needed emergency surgery to clear an obstruction. That obstruction turned out to be a metastatic tumour. He has cancer throughout his abdominal cavity that has progressed rapidly over the few months he was recovering. We were told he had a very early stage bowel cancer that was breached during the accident and released cells into his body having catastrophic consequences. We have told the outlook is grim and to expect weeks if not days to be all his has to spend at home. We immediately made arrangements for him to be with us, where he wants to be for his final days in his own home. He is a warrior and continues to fight , he is continually beating all odds against him and I’d like to somehow put his mind at ease that they will be able to save their home when he is no longer around . No one deserves to have their life pulled away from them like this and I can only imagine the torment he and my mother must feel. Any thing helps and it’s going to be a tough road ahead.
